The headcollar features a built-in safety release point that is engineered to open only under abnormal strain. This means it remains secure during normal handling, tying up, and everyday use, but will release if a horse were to pull back forcefully or become entangled. The aim is to protect the horse by preventing prolonged pressure on the poll, neck, or head, which can lead to injury or trauma.

We have carefully balanced safety with practicality, the headcollar is not designed to open easily or accidentally, but rather as a last resort safety mechanism in situations where traditional headcollars may fail to give way.
